On January 31, a refectory of the Theophany Cathedral of the UOC (MP) was damaged during artillery shelling. The direct hit set the building on fire. The refectory was destroyed as a result of fire.
None of thepeople present in the building sustained damage during shelling.
The press-service of the Diocese of Horlivka of the UOC (MP) states that the refectory was used to prepare food for the needy, hospital patients and social facilities of the city.
A projectile also exploded in the place where the needy were offered free food. Since the refectory was damaged, the parishioners were deprived of the possibility to feed hundreds of people who had no living maintenance.
